Thanksgiving and More

We had another great Thanksgiving with family-one more year will make it a tradition! Thanks Mom and Dad Lee, and Wade for making the trip. The ladies had the task of cooking an 8-dish meal or so, while the men played ball. But from the moans and groans it sounded like the men had equal the challenge. Josh made his first pumpkin pie to carry out the Glasser family tradition. Mighty tasty! Our other highlights included Karaoke night at the Martini Blues lounge with Wade, and 4 hours of hiking at Joshua Tree with Mom and Dad. They are hard core. We spent an afternoon on Rodeo Drive and later indulged in tasty seafood-cajun style. There are some photo highlights in the gallery. Can't wait until next year!
Other top headlines include Josh's recent deejay gig for a high-fashion, fashion show in Laguna Beach. Complete with oohing and aahing as the models strutted down the runway. It was put on by a uber trendy boutique in Laguna and all of the proceeds went to the MS foundation. Josh really set the tone for the runway with his selections.
As for myself, I am starting a music teaching job in January. I will be teaching general music to elderly adults once a week at a day center. I am very excited about my first paid teaching position and getting to work with the adults I have been volunteering for over the last several months. Also, I am participating in a jewelry boutique with my friend Cari and another crafty gal this Saturday. We have been working hard making necklaces and other pieces, and Cari is opening up her gorgeous home for the event. I have been making a few designs with my cousin Cyd McInerney's hand-blown glass beads so I am excited to display those with intent to sell.
We have a new addition to our California family-China. My friend Carrie tipped me off to a free Siamese kitten and I promptly picked her up and brought her home to surprise Josh. He was happily surprised. So her name is China as in 'Chickity China the Chinese Chicken' and as in her china blue eyes, and I guess as in a wrestler or something named Chyna. Oh, and she is called Chi Latte for short. Pictures are in the gallery, and she sometimes looks stoned because she's not used to the flash!
