Like to Hike, Bike, Offroad in Eldorado national forest??
In support of keeping the trails and routes of the Eldorado National
Forest open for OHV’s, hikers, campers, fishermen, hunters and more, preserveourtrails.com drafted the following letter to the Forest Supervisor in charge of
the proposed route closures and OHV access options. The 45-day review
period is coming to an end on September 4th and they need as much support
as possible to show that the OHV community is committed to keeping the
Eldorado National Forest trails and routes open.

Anonymous writes "Hi,
I haven't posted a story in a while so I thought I'd just provide an update. Pictures of the condo we are purchasing are in the gallery-it is in escrow now but we must wait until the sellers buy a home. It may be premature to show pictures, because there are a lot of technicalities yet to sort out. You may notice a lot of contents that don't look like ours-so picture a lot of purple in it instead (not too much though-I'm letting go of some of that obsession!). When we first saw the condo, we met the owners who gave us some lovely fragrant tube rose which was a nice touch as it was our anniversary. Well, we're crossing our fingers!
Summer has been fun-filled. Josh has been deejaying a lot, and got to deejay a high profile event at Seven Degrees in Laguna Beach for a jewelry designer. I am loving my job teaching music to older adults and am growing very attached to them. I've learned a lot of music that I had never explored before.
We had an excellent time in Minnesota recently for Carson and Brian's wedding-congratulations and thanks for asking me to be your singer; and thanks Mom and Dad for showing us around!
We're looking forward to a yard sale with our good friends Lenny and Carrie, at their cool house in Redondo Beach. And we can't wait for our next visitors out here in sunny California!
Nicole"

We had another great Thanksgiving with family-one more year will make it a tradition! Thanks Mom and Dad Lee, and Wade for making the trip. The ladies had the task of cooking an 8-dish meal or so, while the men played ball. But from the moans and groans it sounded like the men had equal the challenge. Josh made his first pumpkin pie to carry out the Glasser family tradition. Mighty tasty! Our other highlights included Karaoke night at the Martini Blues lounge with Wade, and 4 hours of hiking at Joshua Tree with Mom and Dad. They are hard core. We spent an afternoon on Rodeo Drive and later indulged in tasty seafood-cajun style. There are some photo highlights in the gallery. Can't wait until next year!

I have to talk about Josh's master creation last weekend. He's suddenly advanced from Tuna Helper to Smoked Salmon with Lemon/Dill spread on whole grain bread cut into carrot shapes!
We were having a conversation with the Stitz's on Sunday morning about what to bring to a barbecue. when this elaborate recipe rolled off Josh's tongue like he had been making croquettes or duck dumplings in a tamarind glaze for years. Apparently, he had been watching the food channel earlier that morning, and had actually paid attention to detail. So, I said, "Well, let's have it then-chop to it!". We went to the market for the fresh dill, lox, cream cheese, lemon, etc. To see Josh zesting lemons in the kitchen was an awesome spectacle. Just the fact that he was touching the salmon amazed me (he does not like any sort of raw fish, and very few cooked fishes). So, he proceeded to sculpt the appetizers into mini-carrots with dill for the tops, and directed me on the process. They were served up at the barbecue with much success, even though the chef himself wasn't able to indulge.

Josh surprised me with dinner and the lamp I had been drooling over for weeks. Josh seemed pretty anti-purple and gold double shaded lamp with gorgeous amber colored beads whenever we saw it in the window. So, I was especially surprised to see it in all its glory on our bookshelf. I think Josh saw it in a new light too!
Now then, from that point on I should have known something was up because that was a monumental surprise from Josh. But he had told me he had a weekend excursion planned for us as well. That is just way too much romance for one birthday to not be suspicious. So the date arrived that we were supposed to take off to an undisclosed location.
